Love is a force too

Love is a force too, you know

It may not seem like it has

the might of standing up, or fighting back

or the badge of valor that comes with protest and dissent

But love is a force too.

Love en masse can make tremendous change

Love en masse can influence movements

Love works profoundly and powerfully,

especially when we love together

But that love starts with you.

And so today I decided to

return to love

The energy of my heart

The remembrance that everyone learns

in their own time and way.

Love doesn’t mean I’m in denial

Love doesn’t mean I have to accept or welcome anything

that isn’t love into my life

Love is for me

And I am choosing it

Because there is no other way that I want to live.
